Mottaz Park
Nestled on the south side of City Hall along Main Street, Mottaz Park is a charming gathering place with a touch of local history. Many years ago, the concrete that now forms the park’s base was actually the floor of a neighborhood grocery store called Sapp’s Market.
Looking ahead, plans are in place to remove most of the old concrete, replace it with fresh soil and vibrant flowers, and create a welcoming walkway leading to the gazebo.
Mottaz Park comes alive during parades, community celebrations, and special events throughout the year — especially every Sunday in October, when small bands perform for the community. You may even spot a wedding taking place as you stroll by.
In early spring, the park’s beautiful redbud trees burst into bloom, offering a stunning display that never disappoints.
